Mary Rose Jankowski

Mary Rose Jankowski, age 99, 330 W. Third St., Bloomsburg, died at her home at 9:58 a. m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, after being in failing health for two months.

Born in Shenandoah on December 2, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Walvage) Bolstrum. She resided in Bloomsburg since 1992 and previously lived in Mt. Carmel.

Mary was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg. Earlier in her life she enjoyed bowling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter P. Jankowski on May 29, 1990 and by a son, Walter S. Jankowski in Nov., 1989; and by four sisters and a brother.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Christine, wife of Mehdi Haririan, Bloomsburg. She was the last of her immediate family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 3 p. m. in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg, by her pastor, Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence. Viewing at the Church from 2-3 p. m. Interment will be made on Friday at 10:30 a. m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
