Mary A. Krohn
Mary A. Krohn, age 94, formerly of Mill Street, Orangeville, died at 9:56 a. m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Bonham Nursing Center, Stillwater, where she was a guest for eight months.
Born in Bayonne, New Jersey on February 17, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Kashkonis) Bruzas. She resided in Orangeville since 2001; Berwick from 1995 to 2001; Fairmount Springs for 12 years before that and Union, New Jersey prior to that for many years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception BVM Catholic Church, Berwick.
Mary was employed by the former Western Electric, Co., Kearney, N.J. for 12 years early in her life.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene J. Krohn, Sr., on May 7, 1998; by two sisters: Anna Beicht and Adele Strolis; and a niece, Patricia.
She is survived by a daughter, Michele, wife of Marshall Karas, Orangeville; a son, Eugene J. Krohn, Jr., and his wife Patti, Cherry Hills, N.J.; two grandchildren: Morgan Karas and Liam Karas; a niece, Susan Strolis, San Francisco, Calif. and a nephew, Alfred Strolis, Bayonne, N.J.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary's Immaculate Conception BVM Catholic Church, 1730 Fowler Avenue, Berwick, on Monday at 11 a. m. Celebrant will be the Rev. Francis J. Tamburro. Interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Orangeville. A viewing will be held at the Church from 10 to 11 a. m.
