Mary A. McHenry, age 64, of 314 W. Main Street, Apt. 1, Bloomsburg, died at her home at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2015.
Born in Ashland on January 23, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Vincent R. and Elizabeth I. (Price) McGurl. She was a 1969 graduate of the former St. Cyril School, which was later Cardinal Brennan High School, Ashland (Fountain Springs). Mary resided in Bloomsburg for the last 28 years.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Mary was an avid bingo player, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Rice; and three brothers: Vincent McGurl, Jr., Johnny McGurl and Harold McGurl.
Surviving is her husband, David L. McHenry, with whom she would have celebrated 31 years of marriage on December 31, 2015; two sons: Charles J. Covelusky, III, wife Dana and Frank J. Covelusky, wife Crystal, all of Bloomsburg; a daughter, Tamara, wife of Mike Dangelo, Shamokin Dam; eight grandchildren: Topanga, Topeaka, True, Larissa, Payton, Austin, Kyrie and Nicola and six siblings: Ann, wife of Lenny Pascavage; Patricia Winton, all of Frackville; Lawrence McGurl, Bloomsburg; Ronald McGurl, wife Betty Ann, Fredericksburg, Va.; Marie Blank and Jackie McGurl, both of Ashland.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence, pastor of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg, officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 a.m.
