Mary V. Ritsko

Mary V. Ritsko, age 85, 1475 Sunbury Road, Buck Run, Pottsville, died at 6:54 a. m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, several hours after she was admitted.

Born on Nov. 18, 1926 in Bellaire, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Fern (Strausser) Robinson. She resided in Baltimore, Maryland for many years before moving to Pottsville about 20 years ago. She resided in Buck Run for the past five years.

Mary was a graduate of the Bellaire High School, Bellaire, Ohio and was employed by the Social Security Administration, Baltimore, Md. for all of her working years.

She was a member of the Pottsville Congregation, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Ritsko on March 7, 2009.

Surviving are a daughter, Diana, wife of Dean Haugh, with whom she resided; two sons: Orland Carra, and his wife Martha, Wheeling, West Va. and Philip Carra, and his wife Cherry, San Francisco;  five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret, wife of Fred Varnell, Portland, Ore.; and a brother, Arthur Robinson, and his wife Betty Lou, Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday at 3 p. m. from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Woodland Avenue, Pottsville. There will be no viewing.
