Mary A. Spezialetti, age 92, 840 Market Street, Bloomsburg, died at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in the emergency room of the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital. She was in failing health for three years.
Born in Bloomsburg on January 1, 1923, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Lang) Brady. She was a lifetime resident of Bloomsburg, and a 1941 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Mary owned and managed the former Credit Bureau of Columbia County for 25 years. Earlier in life she was employed by the Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C.
She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg.
Mary enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and painting; and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Knorr and a brother, William Brady.
Surviving is her husband, Dominic E. Spezialetti, with whom she celebrated 67 years of marriage on September 20, 2014; two sons: Christopher L. Spezialetti, wife Deborah, Elmira, NY and Brian D. Spezialetti, Waverly, NY; four grandchildren: Gina Conallen, Leah Costa, Alicia Spezialetti and Dominic Spezialetti; and one great grandson, Francis Conallen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence officiating. Interment in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
A viewing will be held Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
