Melinda S. âMelâ Farr, age 66, 1315 Bloom Road, Danville, died at 7:18 a. m. Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she was a patient for one week. She had been seriously ill since September, 2015.
Born at Geisinger Hospital, Danville, on January 4, 1950, she was the daughter of Dorothy (Kline) Smith, Millville and the late Dale Smith. She resided in Danville for seven years and previously resided in Bloomsburg.
Mel was employed by Vreeland Harley Davidson dealership, Bloomsburg for 15 years. Earlier she was employed at the Millville Coffee House and at Town Perk, Bloomsburg.
She was a member of the Susquehanna Motorcycle Club and enjoyed gardening. Early in her life she enjoyed roller skating at the former Dixieâs Starlite Garden Skating Rink, Bloomsburg.
Surviving in addition to her mother, are three sons: Kurt W. Farr; Lance E. Farr, and his wife Lisa, Bloomsburg; Jason R. Farr, and his girlfriend, Jessica Neuwirth, Denver Colorado; five grandchildren: Brecken Farr; Chantz Farr; Kartyr Farr; Morgan Lawton; Levi Lawton; and a brother, Larry Smith, and his wife Sally, Millville.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 7 P. M. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Rev. Gordon E. Smith, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy, officiating. Private interment will be made in the Millville Cemetery.
