MICHAEL J. WALLACE
Michael J. Wallace, age 91, 975 S. Market St., Bloomsburg, died at 3:15 p. m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Bloomsburg Health Care Center where he was a guest since February, 2009.
Born in Berwick on September 6, 1920, he was a son of the late Peter and Mary (Cheges) Wallace. He resided in Bloomsburg since 1944.
Michael was employed by the former Magee Carpet Co. for 40 years until retiring.
He was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg.
He and his wife, the former Helen J. Noval celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on October 28, 2011. Also surviving are a daughter, Darleen, wife of Joseph Maguire, Redlands, Calif.; a son, Michael G. Wallace, and his wife Laurie, Bloomsburg; a grandson, Michael J. Wallace and a granddaughter, Juliann M. Wallace, both of Bloomsburg; and two sisters: Nancy, wife of Steve Kubasik, Berwick and Catherine Perich, Palmerton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a. m. in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg, with his pastor, Mgsr. Robert Lawrence officiating. Interment for the immediate family only will be in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
There will be no public viewing or calling hours.
