Mildred M. Hartman, age 95, formerly of Pepper Hills, Danville, died at 8 p. m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center, where she resided for the past three years and three months.
Born in Kulpmont on September 12, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Stefania (Dombroski) Polakowski. Her early years were spent in Catawissa and then Bloomsburg. She resided in Danville for 35 years prior to entering the nursing home.
Mildred was last employed at the former Danville Dress Factory, where she was employed for 15 years. Prior to that she was a forelady at the former Emenee Shirt Factory, Catawissa for 35 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Danville.
Mildred was preceded in death by two husbands: Edward J. Kinn on November 25, 1998 and Carl D. Hartman in 2009 and also by seven brothers and two sisters.
Surviving is a son, Edward J. Kinn, III, and his wife M. Linda, Bloomsburg; two daughters: Issy Bowman, Hummelstown and Mari, wife of Lee Mensinger, Bloomsburg; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Pollock, and his wife Josephine, Catawissa; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence, pastor of St. Columba Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Viewing from 10 to 11 a. m.
