Mildred Mae Moyer

Mildred M. (Pursel) Moyer, age 90, of430 Mountain Road, Berwick, died at her home at 9:45 p. m. on Friday, May 21, 2021, after an illness.

Born in Scott Township on May 9, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Mildred (Wolfe) Pursel. She graduated from the former Scott Township High School in 1949.

Millie was last employed by the Central Columbia School District as a custodian retiring in 1993. Earlier she was employed at the former Briar Creek Knitting Mill.

She enjoyed doing art work, especially painting with pastels. In her younger years she enjoyed canoeing and camping and hunting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Darcy Long, on January 4, 2015 and six siblings.

Millie is survived by a daughter Rose, wife of John White, Lightstreet, a son John K. Moyer and his wife Kathy, Manasses, Va.; five grandchildren: Thomas Moyer, Kristina Moyer, Brandy Whitenight, Daniel Long and Brett Long; eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Jerry Pursel and his wife Judy, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. A viewing will be held from 1-2 p. m.
