Miriam L. "Mim" Slusser, age 89, 267 Richard Lane, Landisburg, Perry County, died at her home on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 and was pronounced dead at 1:10 p. m. She was in failing health for the past year.
Born on September 7, 1920 in Scott Township, she was a daughter of the late Claude W. and Alice M. (Englehart) Sneidman. She resided in Landisburg for three years and formerly lived in Catawissa Township for many years.
Min was a 1938 graduate of the former Scott Township High School. She later was employed in the cafeteria of the same school and was the person in charge of the Central Columbia Elementery School cafeteria for many years before retiring.
She was a member of the Ridge Street United Methodist Church, Almedia, where she was a member longer than any other member.
Min enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and especially spending time with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Slusser on January 4, 2002; a son, William R. Slusser, Jr. on May 23, 1953; a grandson Christopher Bamford on July 17, 1999; a brother Claude John Sneidman and a sister, Phyllis Cosper.
Surviving are a daughter Susan A. Bamford, Harrisburg; a son, Jon W. Slusser, and his wife Janet, with she resided in Landisburg; four grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. She was the last of her imediate family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Robert J. Eddinger officiating. Interment in Creveling Cemetery, Almedia. Friends may call on Friday from 10 to 11 a. m.
