NAN L. PURSEL
Nan L. Pursel, age 66, 417 Iron St., Bloomsburg, died at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at the Columbia Montour Hospice At Maria Hall, Danville. She was in failing health since Feb., 2009.
Born in Bloomsburg on Feb. 7, 1944, she was a daughter of Myrtle (Johnson) Myers, Espy and the late Delbert Myers.
A lifelong resident of Bloomsburg, she graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1962.
Nan was employed part-time in the Bloomsburg University book store for 20 years until retiring earlier this year.
She was a member of First English Baptist Church, Bloomsburg.
Nan was a volunteer for the Columbia County Chapter of the American Red Cross and was a frequent blood donor. She enjoyed playing golf and tennis, reading, playing bridge and going to movies.
Nan and her husband, Donald K. Pursel, celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on Nov. 23rd. Surviving in addition to her mother and husband are two sons: Jeffrey D. Pursel, and his wife Maria, Quakertown and Barton K. Pursel, State College; three grandaughters: Amanda, Lauren and Haley
Pursel; and a sister, Christine, wife Robert Cromley, Watsontown.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. in First English Baptist Church, 700 Millville Road, Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. L. Lee Barnhart officiating. Interment will be made at the convenience of the family in Old Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. There will be no viewing.
