Nanci M. Lynn
Nanci M. Lynn, age 83, 139 Bissett's Lane, Bloomsburg, died at 5:51 a. m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at Balanced Care At Bloomsburg, a health care facility in Scott Township, where she was a patient for ten days. She had been in failing health for four months.
Born in Hazleton on July 12, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Clara (Borowiak) Rogus. She resided in Bloomsburg for 70 years and was a 1948 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Nanci assisted her husband in operating Lynn's Texaco Station on East Street, Bloomsburg for many years. Later she was employed by several area pharmacies, last working at Rite Aid as a cashier.
She had a passion for cooking and was actually a gourmet cook. She enjoyed vacationing at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, loved to read and to play with her two golden retrievers. Nanci always had a rock garden at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Lynn, on Jan. 10, 1995, and by a brother, Richard Rogus.
Surviving is a daughter, Kathleen A. "Kathie" Lynn, who resided with her, and a brother, Bernard Rogus, Lansdale.
At the request of the deceased, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
