Nancy A. King, age 83, 136 Rotary Street, Orangeville (Stony Brook Circle), died at 8:50 a. m. Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health care Center, Bloomsburg, where she resided for nine days. Her death followed a brief illness.
Born at Montgomery on March 25, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Irvin L. and Margaret I. (Hall) King. She resided on East Street in Bloomsburg for many years before moving to Stony Brook Circle in 1987.
Nancy was a 1950 graduate of the former Scott Township High School and also of the former Shippensburg State Teachers College.
Early in her life she was employed as a school teacher in Olean, New York for a year and a half. Later she was employed by the Harleysville Insurance Co. as a secretary at their former office on Market Street, Bloomsburg, for many years, retiring in the late 1990âs.
Nancy was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed doing puzzles of all kinds, knitting, cross stitching and sewing.
Surviving are two sisters: Jean Rhone, Bloomsburg and Patricia L., wife of Jay Buckley, Punta Gorda, Fla. There are also a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be announced by the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. Interment will be made in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
