Nancy J. McMann

Nancy J. McMann, age 71, 168 Shannon Hill Road, Benton, died at her home at 3:15 p. m. Friday, January 22, 2010 after being seriously ill for one month.

Born in Raven Creek on December 10, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Alton P. and Pauline R. (Camp) Getz.. She returned to Raven Creek in 1993 after living in Macedon, N.Y. for over 30 years.

Nancy was a 1956 graduate of Benton High School.

While living in Macedon, she managed a diner for over 30 years.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching games shows on television.

Surviving are two sons: Sherman C. McMann, Macedon, N.Y. and Rodney McMann, and his wife Jolene, Summerville, S.C.; a granddaughter, Charlotte McMann, Summerville, S.C.; and six siblings: Charles P. Getz, and his wife Elsie Mae, Sheboygan, Wis., Delores J. Myers, Shortsville, N.Y.; Shelva Jean, wife of Ray Foust, Benton, David B. Getz, and his wife Blanche, Benton; Guy Nelson Getz, and his wife Terry, Shortsville, N.Y.; and Betty M. Reimard, with whom she resided.

She was preceded in death byn seven brothers: Arley D. Getz, Robert A. Getz, Carl T. Getz, Jack A. Getz, Timothy A. Getz, B. William Getz and Alton P. Getz, Jr.

Private services will be held.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Benton.
