Nancy A. (Johnson) Ogden, 62, of Catawissa, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with a terminal illness.
Born in Bloomsburg in 1962, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Patsy (Kingston) Johnson.
Nancy dedicated her life to caregiving, touching countless lives through her work as a nurse at Berwick Hospital and later as a compassionate home health and hospice caregiver. Her nurturing spirit extended to nursing homes, where her presence brought comfort to many. She found solace and joy in gardening and cooking, and cherished moments spent basking in the sun at the beach with her family.
In her final days, she was surrounded by the same unwavering love and care she had always given to others. Her family stood by her side, ensuring she was comforted and at peace, just as she had done for so many throughout her life.
Nancy was a beacon of kindness and selflessness, teaching others by example through her actions.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two former partners, Wayne Forney, Sr. and Dennis Ogden.
She is survived by her two devoted sons, David Forney and Wayne Forney, her three beloved sisters, Jeanne Hons and her partner Steve, Sherry wife of Brian Hons and Theresa Johnson wife of Eric Troutman and her faithful dachshund, Pepsi.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests donations to the PA SPCA, 1467 Bloom Road, Danville, PA 17821, She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and love that will forever be remembered.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
