Nevin L. Raup

Nevin L. Raup, age 77, 980-B Middle Road, Elysburg, died at 8:39 a. m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was admitted Friday.  He was in failing health for several years.

Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on July 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Lester and Elsie (Hendricks) Raup. He resided in Cleveland Township, Columbia County most of his lifetime.

Nevin was a produce farmer, growing and selling his produce at the Bloomsburg Farmers Market  for 30  years, retiring due to health issues in 2010.

He was an avid gardener and wood craftsman and derived great pleasure from caring for his six acres of lawn. He also enjoyed assembling puzzles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Nugent.

Nevin is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Nancy L. Sevison, who he married on January 14, 1961; two daughters: Susan, wife of Thomas Bogush, Duncannon and Debora Raup and her partner Thom Bogaznik, Hazleton;  a son, Daniel J. Raup, and his wife Ann Marie, Northumberland; four grandchildren: Jonathan  Bogush; Mark Bogush; Nevin Raup; Samantha Raup and a sister, Gail, wife of Earl Wagner, Danville.

At Nevin's request, there will be no funeral services or viewing.
