Norma Lee Smith

Norma Lee Smith, age 84, of Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday December 17, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Rapid City, South Dakota, on September 20, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Albert N. and Frances J. (Reimers) Gaarde. Norma was a 1958 graduate of Rapid City High School.

She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #145 in Williamsport. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, Miller Light beer, and card games. She also loved her dogs.

Norma was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Smith, Sr., on March 19, 1978, and by her second husband, Harold J. Smith, Jr., on September 27, 2018.

She is survived by her five children: Robert L. Smith, Jr., and his wife Sharon, of Independence, KY, Donna L. Gottschall, and her husband Bradley, of Gettysburg, PA, Barbara A. Morehart, and her husband Shawn, of Williamsport, PA, Albert L. Smith, and his wife Kimberly, of Las Vegas, NV, and Tera L. Smith, of Williamsport, PA; eight grandchildren: Krystal, Kathryn, Robert III, Tyler, Katelyn, James, Allison, and Sydney; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Cleo J. Reed, of Chico, CA; nieces and one nephew. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Misty.

At her request, there will be no services. Private interment will be made in Green Lawn Memorial Park in Montgomery, PA at the convenience of her family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville.
