Norma M. White, age 89, of 149 Buckhorn Road, Bloomsburg, died at 7:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 at the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital.
Born in Nescopeck on August 2, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Dora (Smith) Lynn. After graduating from Nesopeck High School in 1943, she moved to Columbia County, and resided there her entire life.
For several years Norma was employed by Milco Industries, Bloomsburg; but most of her time was spent as a homemaker.
She was a member of Buckhorn United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg; TOPS Club, Inc. in Columbia County; Hats In Bloom chapter of the Red Hat Society; and Hemlock Township Homemakers.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. White on Dec. 5, 2004; and by four siblings: Clara Pettit, Jay Lynn, Joyce Lynn and Drue Lynn.
Surviving is her son, Robert F. White, wife Barbara, Bloomsburg; two grandsons: Jason R. White, wife Jennifer, Willimantic, Conn. and Joshua A. White, Westfield, Vermont; two great grandchildren: Dylan R. White, Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Dakota R. White, Willimantic, Conn.; and four siblings: Metta (Lynn) Ent, Mifflinville; Dale Lynn, Berwick; Charles Lynn, Jr., wife Jean, Berwick and Kaye (Lynn), wife of Jim Brown, Havertown.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg with her pastor, Audrey M. Brosious officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday.
