Otis L. Taylor, age 88, 1825 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, died at his home on Saturday, March 9, 2019.
Born in Bloomsburg on April 10, 1930, he was a son of the late Hurley and Pearl (Robbins) Taylor. He resided in the Bloomsburg area his entire life.
Otis and his wife Barbara owned Taylor's Restaurant in the Market Street Plaza, Bloomsburg for a number of years. Earlier he was employed at the GLF Canning Co., Bloomsburg.
He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
In addition top his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Barbara A. Ware on December 22, 1991 and by his daughter, Nancy Jean Taylor, on July 22, 2017.
Otis is survived by a son, Steven S. Taylor, Idaho; several grandchildren; two sisters, Mary A., wife of Donald E. Shultz, Bloomsburg and Margaret "Peggy" Saweikis , Shamokin; several nieces and nephews and his close friend, Betty Edwards, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Gordon E. Smith, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy, officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge, with military honors by the combined veteran's group. Viewing will be from 10-11 a. m.
