"GoGo" to her friends and family
On Friday, December 13, 2024, surrounded by those who love her and the caring staff at Geisinger, Pat "GoGo" Wenner, the most generous member of our family, found her much-deserved peace.
Those who will miss her the most include her son, Douglas, and his wife, Lori, and their children, Haylee, Andrew, and Josh; her mother, Marjorie Bidleman; her brother, Sam Bidleman, and his wife, Ginny, along with their son, Cade; and her sister, Michelle Fidler, and her husband, John, with their daughters, Sydney Fidler and Victoria Mench, and her husband, Jared, and their children, Carter and Sophia.
A life-long resident of Bloomsburg, Pat graduated from St. Cyril Academy in 1973 and started her career with Berkheimer. Pat began a new position in the accounting office at Geisinger Medical Center while embracing her role as a new mother. She ended her working life at Walmart, where her giving spirit and undeniable work ethic made her the face of Walmart and a friend to everyone she met. She even found time to enjoy Fair Week working at Gate 3 for many Fall seasons.
Pat's giving nature extended beyond her career. Upon retiring, she devoted herself to caring for her mother, a role she accepted with grace and patience for the next 30+ years. She would meet her friends at the town pool when she had the opportunity, eventually introducing her beloved nieces Tori and Sydney to her love of water and sun with the motto, "What happens with GoGo, stays with GoGo."
When her mother adopted a dog, GoGo became its daily walker, taking routes throughout the neighborhood and beyond, often striking up conversations and new friendships with her fellow travelers. She was known as someone who happily always put others first. Her unselfish personality and attention to those who needed assistance were the foundations of dozens of stories about her helping hand or charitable donation without ever being asked.
Pat was fiercely loyal and supportive of every family member, attending sporting events, birthday parties, and every kind of celebration. She remembered everyone's birthday, and with her habit of collecting coupons, she knew exactly where to find the best deals.
She told the best family stories and always had an adventure to share in person or through messages and Facebook posts. Pat was a sentimental aficionado of snowmen and sunflowers who strongly believed that the more we give, the greater our lives become.
She was truly one of a kind, a presence that was rare as it was beautiful, a gentle soul who brought love and care to everyone she met. Pat will always be remembered for her special spirit, her kindhearted nature, and certainly for her unique personality that made her stand out in the most wonderful way.
At her request, there will be no visitation, and her family will celebrate her life at a future date. In lieu of flowers, honor her beautiful spirit by sharing kindness: give someone a gift they truly need, just as Pat would have.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
