Patricia (Jellett) Heath, age 83, 702 Ridgeview, Danville, died at her home early Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, after being in failing health for one year.
Born in Philadelphia on November 18, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Ruth (Ash) Jellett. She was a 1947 graduate of Miss Porterâs School in Farmington, Conn.
Pat and her late husband, Robert D. Heath, M.D., moved to Danville from Villanova in June , 1968. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1999.
She was a member of the Geisinger Medical Center Auxiliary and while living in the Philadelphia area she was a member of the Lankenau Hospital Auxiliary.
Pat enjoyed politics, cooking and golfing and scored a hole in one at one time.
She served on the Riverside Borough council during the 1970âs and on the Mahoning Township Planning Commission until recently.
She and her husband traveled extensively following his retirement and after his death she returned to Danville to be near her family. At one time she bred golden retrievers as a hobby.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers: Roland Jellett and Albert Jellett.
Surviving are six children: Lt. Col. Robert D. Heath, Jr., USA ret., and his wife Diane M. Childs, Villanova; Peter S. Heath, and his wife Barbara A., Danville; David J. Heath, and his wife Sally K., Riverside; Ellen W. , wife of Barry R. Reynolds, Danville; Richard G. Heath, who resided with her; Taylor L. W. Heath, and his wife Mary E., Riverside; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family.
At Pat's request, her family will host a celebration to honor her life at her home on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 5-7 p. m.
