Pauline E. (Kmiecinski) Roberts, age 91, of 1274 Ash Street, Danville, died Wednesday morning, December 8, 2021, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born in Danville on November 23, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Valentine and Susan (Grausam) Kmiecinski. She was a longtime resident of Danville and a 1948 graduate of Danville High School. She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in accounting in 1991.
Pauline was employed for 25 years by Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, last working in the finance department when she retired in 1993. She then worked parttime for H & R Block. Earlier in her life she was employed at the former W. T. Gant Store in Danville and also sold Avon products.
An active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she volunteered in many of the Church activities. She also was a member of the Marine Corps League Ladies Auxiliary, the 6th Marine Division Association, Toys for Tots and earlier was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.
Pauline was an avid Danville sports fan and also of the Penn State Football team. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending their school and sporting activities and going out to eat.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Roberts on Dec. 29, 2014; four brothers: Valentine, George, William and Carl and by four sisters: Mary, Edith, Helen and Hilda.
Pauline is survived by a son, John Roberts, and his wife Sue, of Catawissa; three grandchildren: Chad Roberts, of Catawissa, Michelle Roberts, of Holly Springs, NC, and Eric Roberts, of Catawissa; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021 at 11 a. m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Center Street, Danville, by Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe. Interment will follow in St. Hubert’s Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 – 11 a. m. in St. Hubert’s Chapel of the Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Homes for Troops, 6 Main St., Taunton, MA 02780.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
