Penny Sue Hess

Penny Sue (Hunsinger) Hess, age 56, of 438 N. Plum Street, Mt. Carmel, died unexpectedly at her home at 7:48 a. m. Saturday, January 23, 2021.

Born in Bloomsburg on October 9, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Franklin A., Sr. and Grace M. (Loar) Hunsinger. She was a 1982 graduate of Central Columbia High School.

Penny was currently employed as the manager of the commissary at State Correctional Institution, Frackville and previously was employed as a corrections officer at the North Central Secure Treatment Center in Danville. Early in her life she was employed by Wise Foods, Inc., Berwick for 12 years.

Penny is survived by her husband, Curtis L. Hess of Bloomsburg, a daughter Deanna E. Hess and a son Devin C. Hess, both of Bloomsburg; a brother Daniel Hunsinger, Bloomsburg, two sisters: Donna, wife of Martin Addison, Bloomsburg and Beth Hunsinger, wife of Scott Carl, Catawissa and a number of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, from 5-7 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
