PERRY F. DEANER
Perry F. Deaner, age 64, 281 E. Main St., Millville, died unexpectedly early Friday, March 16, 2012 at his retreat near Renovo, Clinton County.
Born at the Berwick Hospital on March 31, 1947, he was the son of Elizabeth "Betty" (Carey) Deaner, Millville and the late Wayne E. Deaner.
Perry was a 1965 graduate of Millville High School and attended the former Bloomsburg State Teachers College before graduating from the former Williamsport Area Community College. He resided with his mother in Millville when he wasn't at his retreat in the mountains of Clinton County.
He was a foreman for various bridge construction companies, building bridges up and down the East coast.
Perry was a member of the Mill-Green United Methodist Church.
He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam with the First Infantry Division from 1967-1968.
Surviving in addition to his mother are four children:
Dorothy Manae Deaner, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Michael Deaner, Wyoming; Elizabeth Deaner, Pottsville; Rachel Deaner, Millville; a sister, Melissa, wife of Dale Stiner, Millville; and a special big sister, Ellie Glidewell Dauberman, Lairdsville.
A service in celebration of Perry's life will be held on Monday at 2. p. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Paul C. Converse, pastor of The Christian Gospel Fellowship Church, Iola officiating. Interment with military honors by the combined Veterans group will follow in the Millville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Mondaty from 1-2 p. m.
