Peter M. Schumacher

Peter M. Schumacher, age 60, of Ash Street, Danville, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday evening, Sept. 19, 2024, after an illness.

Born on December 9, 1963, in Danville, Illinois, he was a son of Karen L. (Highfield) Singleton of Florida and the late Peter L. Schumacher.

Peter was employed by Bower & Strausser, General Contractors working at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for 10 years. He was last employed by the Salvation Army in Danville.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Danville.

Peter collected antique beer cans and memorabilia. He enjoyed fishing and camping and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, the former Terri J. Crossley, with whom he observed their 30th wedding anniversary on August 24, 2024; a son, Jonathan T. Schumacher, at home; and a brother, Michael Schumacher of Bath.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, at 3 p. m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 68 Center, St., Danville with Rev. Timothy Marcoe officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133Bloom Road, Danville.
