Priscilla (Moyer) Hornack, age 58, 710 Second Avenue West, Zolfo Springs, Fla., died late Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, in the emergency room of the Florida Hospital, Wauchula, Fla., where she was taken after being stricken at her home.
Born in Mahoning Township, Montour County, she was a daughter of the late John L., M.D., and Nancy (Patterson) Moyer.
Priscilla and her family spent many summers at the family farm near Orangeville.
She was a 1969 graduate of Beaver High School, Beaver, Pa., and attended the Allegheny College, Meadville, before graduating from the University of Grenoble in France. She earned her master's degree from Penn State University.
Priscilla resided in Florida since 1977 and in Zolfo Springs since 1980. She was employed by the Florida Hospital Heartland, Sebring, Fla., as an insurance reimbursement manager.
She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and it's Catholic Women's group in Wauchula.
Priscilla was preceded in death by a daughter, Priscilla Hornack, in 1982, and by a sister, Mary S. Moyer, M.D., on May 14, 2008.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas J. Hornack, with whom she celebrated her 32nd wedding anniversary on Oct. 29, 2009; a son, Michael J. Hornack, and his wife Amy, Ruskin, Fla.; a granddaughter, Ashley Hornack, Ruskin; an uncle, Harold Moyer and his wife Ruth, Conway, Texas; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carl and Nellie Hornack, Hazleton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Friday at 11 a.m. in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Street, Orangeville. The Rev. Paul R. Fisher, pastor of St. Columba Catholic Church, will officiate. There will be no calling hours.
