R. Dale Kremer, age 79, 15 Frosty Hills Drive, Danville, died at 9:50 a. m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was a patient since March 8, 2010.
Born in Milton on September 11, 1930, he was a son of the late Edwin E. and Maude (Hendricks) Kremer. He resided in Danville for most of his lifetime and was a 1948 graduate of Danville High School.
Dale was employed by Weis Markets, Danville, as manager of the meat department, working there for 28 years. After retiring, he followed his passion for restoring old homes.
He was a member of the Shiloh United Church of Christ, Danville,; Danville Elks Lodge 754; Cherokee Travel Club; a life member of the Montour County Historical Society and a life member of the American Legion Post 40, Danville.
Dale was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending his winters in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and summers at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia.
He served with the US Army reserves during the Korean War era.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth A. Bausch, with whom he celebrated his 57th wedding anniversary on January 11, 2010; and two brothers: Edwin R. Kremer, and his wife Viola, Danville and Kenneth A. Kremer, and his wife Nancy, Benton. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Private services will be held in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville, with his pastor, Rev. Mary B. Schmotzer officiating. Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville.
