Ralph J. "Andy" Andrews, Jr.

Ralph J. “Andy” Andrews, Jr., age 73, of River Hill Drive, Bloomsburg passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family and friends, on Friday afternoon, September 13, 2024, after an illness.

Born in New York City on October 9, 1950, he was a son of the late Ralph and Florence “Tommie” (Tighe) Andrews. He was a 1968 graduate of Mount St. Michaels Catholic High School in the Bronx, New York. He resided in the Bloomsburg area for 36 years.

Andy worked in the outdoor amusement business, and operated the Dime Pitch  at the Bloomsburg Fair since 1974.

He loved working in his yard and gardening. He also enjoyed building things and built many items for use in his home. He was a volunteer for the Special Olympics. For 15 years he assisted in making the annual Christmas meal for Sun Com.

Andy is survived by his wife, the former Debra L. Pastusak, with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on September 28th; two daughters: Andrea Andrews of Bloomsburg and Madelyn Andrews of Luzerne; a sister, Judith Andrews of Marthas Vineyard, Mass.; his mother-in-law, Lorraine Pastusak of Fruitland, Maryland; a brother-in-law, Larry Pastusak and his wife Carol of Fruitland, Maryland; two nieces: Jessica Pastusak, wife of Kenny Sifford and Sara Pastusak, wife of Francis “Bean” Lincoln; a nephew, Stephan Pastusak and his wife Jamie; as well as several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg with family friend, Pastor Todd Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p. m.
