Ramona E. (Scalcione) Phelps

Ramona E. (Scalcione) Phelps, age 66 of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on October 23, 1956, in Groß-Rohrheim, Germany, she is the daughter of the late Wilhelmine “Wilma” (Graf) Fust and Valentin. She came to the USA at age 9 and grew up in Jersey City, N.J.

Ramona graduated from St. Aloysius High School, Class of 1975, Jersey City, N.J. She worked most of her life in the service industry and once owned her own restaurant called Ramona’s in Palatka, FL.

Ramona enjoyed growing plants, collecting antiques, helping others, dogs and cats, reading, cooking, eating, and her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her late Husband Roy K. Phelps, her mother Wilma Fust, and her daughter Anna Scalcione.

Ramona is survived by: three children and six grandchildren; Gerard Scalcione of Tehachapi CA, and his three sons, Gerard (Anthony), Patrick, and Theodore Scalcione. Nicholas Scalcione of NJ. Jessica Trauger and her husband Kristian of Perkasie and their daughters Anna and Emeline and son Noah.

Funeral services will be held at a future date in 2023.
