Richard A. Aucker
Richard A. “Rich†Aucker, age 52, 495 Hollow Road, Catawissa, died at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his home. He had been ill for two years.
Born in Danville on May 29, 1961, he was a son of the late Jay Aucker and Pearl (Wilt) Aucker Richardson. He had resided in the Catawissa area for 10 years, and formerly in Bloomsburg.
Rich was employed as a truck driver for various trucking companies.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Reynolds.
Surviving is his wife, the former Linda E. Mapes, with whom he celebrated 22 years of marriage on March 9, 2013; five step-children: Teddy Hunsinger, and his partner Christy, Bloomsburg; Tyler Hunsinger, Millville; Tracy, wife of Gary Lindenmuth, Snydertown; John Brown, and his wife Renee, Catawissa; Donna, wife of Donald Hartman, Blandon; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; and a brother, Lester Aucker, Danville.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In accordance with Rich’s wishes, his body has been donated to science.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, Columbia Unit, 1420 N. Susquehanna Trail, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
