Richard A. âRichâ Aucker, age 52, 495 Hollow Road, Catawissa, died at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his home. He had been ill for two years.
Born in Danville on May 29, 1961, he was a son of the late Jay Aucker and Pearl (Wilt) Aucker Richardson. He had resided in the Catawissa area for 10 years, and formerly in Bloomsburg.
Rich was employed as a truck driver for various trucking companies.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Reynolds.
Surviving is his wife, the former Linda E. Mapes, with whom he celebrated 22 years of marriage on March 9, 2013; five step-children: Teddy Hunsinger, and his partner Christy, Bloomsburg; Tyler Hunsinger, Millville; Tracy, wife of Gary Lindenmuth, Snydertown; John Brown, and his wife Renee, Catawissa; Donna, wife of Donald Hartman, Blandon; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; and a brother, Lester Aucker, Danville.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In accordance with Richâs wishes, his body has been donated to science.
