Richard N. Custis, age 55, 401 Eleventh Street, Riverside, died unexpectedly at his home early Thursday, November 11, 2010.
Born in New York City on December 4, 1954, he was the son of Gertrude âTrudyâ (Sepp) Custis. New Port Richey, Florida and the late Nicholas Custis. He resided in Riverside for the past seven years and previously lived in Tucson, Arizona. He was a 1972 graduate of Bergenfield High School, Bergenfield, New Jersey.
Rich was employed as a truck driver by Quikrete Concrete, Paxinos and previously for Delavan Whitenight Produce Co., Riverside.
He was a member of the Southside Fire Co., Riverside; the Danville Moose Lodge and the Washies Fire Co., Danville.
Rich was an avid New York Giants football fan. He loved the Christmas season and decorating for it. An ideal handyman, he loved tools. Rich was an animal lover and he enjoyed model trains.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, Sergei N. Custis and two daughters: Katerina Custis and Yelena Custis, all at home; and two sisters: Linda Devine, Grayslake, Ill. And Joanne, wife of Ronald Russo, Waldwick, New Jersey.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday from 3-5 p. m. at the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville.
