Richard "Dick" D. Rees

Richard D. "Dick" Rees, age 82, of 423 E. Third Street, Bloomsburg, died at 1:02 a. m. Monday, October 14, 2019 at Bloomsburg Care & Rehabilitation Center where he was a patient for five days.

Born in Philadelphia on September 19, 1937, he was the son of the late Evelyn Rees. He graduated from the Philadelphia Public School system and resided in Bloomsburg for over 40 years.

Dick was last employed as a salesman by Hobart Welding Equipment. Earlier in his life he was a welder and also sold fire trucks. He was an avid fly fisherman and hunter.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a daughter Vicki Harrison.

Dick is survived by his wife, Florence (Ralston) Williams and together they observed their 17th wedding anniversary on August 14, 2019. Also surviving are two daughters: Donna, wife of Scott Young, Harleysville and Amy, wife of Dean Kirkpatrick, Wapwallopen; a son, John Baker, Bloomsburg; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019,  at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. Visitation will be from 1-2 p. m.
