Robert T. Aungst

Robert T. Aungst, age 61, of 250 West St., Bloomsburg, died unexpectedly at his home Friday morning August 12, 2022.

Born in Sunbury on June 10, 1961, he was the son of Thomas R. Aungst, of Bloomsburg, and the late Beverly J. (McQuay) Aungst. He was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg, graduating from Bloomsburg High School in 1979 and earned his B.S. degree from Bloomsburg University.

Bob was employed by Columbia County in the planning commission office for over 25 years and was the director when he retired in 2018.

He enjoyed gardening, eating out, and spotting deer. He was a happy, giving person, who loved the time that he was able to spend with his family.

He served with the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea.

Surviving in addition to his father, is his wife, the former, Sherry A. (Stackhouse) Aungst, with whom he celebrated their 20^th wedding anniversary on May 7^th; a son, Mason T. Aungst; a stepson, Alex Davis; and a grandson, Atley Davis, all of Bloomsburg; and a sister, Beth, wife of Richard Hersant, England.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
