Robert E. Crawford, age 69, formerly of Main Street, Catawissa, died at 12:15 p. m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital, Bloomsburg, where he was admitted Thursday. He had been in failing health for a number of years.

    Born in Bloomsburg on January 11, 1946, a son of the late Carvene and Eleanor (Shultz) Crawford.  He was a lifelong resident of Catawissa and a 1965 graduate of Southern Area High School, where he played baseball and soccer.

    Bob was employed at the former Catawissa Lumber Co. for 38 years, last working in 2005.

     He play softball in his earlier years and enjoyed bowling, as well as being an avid hunter. Bob also coached Catawissa Little League Baseball for a number of years. He served with the Pennsylvania National Guard for a number of years.

    Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years , the former Linda  K. Roeder, on January 26, 2012.

    Surviving are a son, Jason E. Crawford and his wife Roslyn, and a grandson, Sean Ray Crawford, Berwick; a sister, Ann, wife of Steve Miller, Catawissa;  his step-mother, Fanny Shultz, Catawissa; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1 p. m. in the Kulp United Methodist Church, 1395 Old Reading Road, Catawissa, with the church pastor, Rev. Chadrick E. Carter officiating.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
