Robert A. Fest, age 62, of 125 Leonard Street, Bloomsburg, was pronounced dead in the emergency room of the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital on Saturday evening, March 28, 2015.
Born in Bloomsburg on January 16, 1953, he was a son of the late Paul E. Fest and Arlene (Johnson) Fest Palmiero. He was a 1970 graduate of Bloomsburg High School, and resided in Bloomsburg his entire life.
Bob was employed as a service technician; working for Fruitâs Fuel Service, Bloomsburg for the last eight years, and previously for the former Agway store for 30 years.
Bob was of the Catholic faith. He was a hunter and fisherman, and loved to play with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph E. Fest.
He is survived by his wife, the former Letitia A. Barnhart, with whom he celebrated 40 years of marriage on August 31, 2014; step-father, Ralph J. Palmiero, Bloomsburg; a son, Robert A. Fest, Bloomsburg; a daughter, Rebecca Krapf, Danville; two grandchildren: Kelsey Krapf and Logan Krapf, both of Danville; a sister, Sister Margaret Mary, SS.CM, St. Cyrilâs Convent, Danville; and three brothers: Paul E. Fest, wife Marybeth, Kenesaw, Ga.; Peter J. Palmiero, wife Kerry, Mountain Top; Ralph M. Palmiero, wife Stephanie, Springfield, Va; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Rev. William Conrad, pastor of the Danville Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m.
