Robert G. Kocher

Robert G. “Bob” Kocher, age 78, of Pied Piper Road, Benton, died peacefully Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the home of his daughter Amber at Maple Grove with his family by his side.

Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on March 10, 1945, he was a son of the late Gus C. and Leatha M. (Pennington) Kocher. He was a life long resident of the Benton-Asbury area and a 1964 graduate of Benton High School.

Bob was employed at the Red Rock Job Corps. Center for 30 years, retiring in 2013.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and especially enjoyed the time he spent outdoors with his grandson Brandon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Donald E. “Tootie” Kocher.

Bob is survived by his wife, the former Darla Kauffman, with whom he observed their 43^rd wedding anniversary on December 15, 2022; a son Aaron Kocher and his wife Vanessa of Orangeville; a daughter Amber Kocher wife of Matthew Stackhouse of Stillwater; three grandsons: Brandon Robert Kocher, Glenn Stackhouse, Gabriel Stackhouse; and a number of nieces and a nephew.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place at the home of his daughter in Spring at a time to be announced.
