Robert P. Mausteller, age 90, 62 Schoolhouse Road, Bloomsburg (Buckhorn) died at 11:30 a. m. Sunday at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center where he was a patient for three days. He had been in failing health since January.
Born in Hemlock Township on February 22, 1927, he was a son of the late Eber A. and Rachel T. (Eves) Mausteller. He resided in Hemlock Township his entire life.
Bob was a farmer and also a self employed carpenter. In later years, he also raised beef cattle.
He was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church, Buckhorn, where he had served on the church council for a number of years. He was an excellent woodworker and made furniture for members of his family
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Pauline Whitenight and Mary Crossley; and an infant brother, Harold Paul Mausteller.
Bob is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mae (Flick) Mausteller and together they observed their anniversary on March 16, 2017; two daughters: Shirley A. Brobst and Judy A. Brubaker, both of Bloomsburg; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a sister, Faye Mausteller, Bloomsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Dr. Joel L. Zeiders, interim pastor of Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be made in Columbia Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 1 p. m. until the time of the service.
