Robert B. Meredith
Robert B. Meredith, age 90, formerly of Orangeville Manor, Orangeville, died on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, Scranton, where he was a patient since January, 2012. He previously lived at Orangeville Manor for 13 years.
Born in Scranton on April 12, 1922, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Fleta (Griffiths) Meredith. He was a 1941 graduate of Scranton Technical High School.
Robert was employed by radio station WCDL in Carbondale as a copywriter for 15 years, last working in 1984.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Robert served with the US Army in the Quartermaster Corps during World War II.
He was the last of his family.
Graveside military services will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 10:30 a. m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, near Annville, with the Rev. Ronald D. Miller officiating. There will be no calling hours.
