Robert W. "Rob" Pembleton, Jr., age 62, 478 Beach Glen Road, Benton, died at his home early Friday, October 15, 2009. His death was unexpected.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on September 1, 1947, he was a son of Anne (Honas) Pembleton, with whom he resided and the late Robert W. Pembleton, Sr. He resided in Talmar since 1970 and previously lived in Willingboro, New Jersey.
Rob received both his high school education and a Batchelor of Science degree in sociology and education from Divine Wood Seminary, Bordentown, New Jersey.
He was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, Benton; the Knights of Columbus and the Legion of Mary
Rob was an avid and expert videographer and was devoted to his mother and family.
Surviving in addition to his mother are six siblings: Deborah, wife of Paul W. Haden, Millville; Janet, wife of Frank Smolenski, Burlington, N.J.; Richard Pembleton, and his wife Lee Ann, Atlanta, Ga.; Mary Anne, wife of Russell Novak, San Diego, Calif.; Margaret, wife of Wico vanGenderen and Christopher Pembleton, and his wife Rosemarie, both of Mt., Laurel, N.J.; several nieces and nephews as well as a number of great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:30 a. m. in Christ The King Catholic Church, Mendenhall Lane, Benton, with his pastor, Rev. Donald W. Cramer officiating. Interment in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Talmar. There will be no calling hours.
