Robert L. Rupert, age 63, of 177 River Hill Drive, Bloomsburg, died unexpectedly at 5:24 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was a patient since Monday.
Born in Bloomsburg on September 7, 1952, he was a son of the late Peter and Louise I. (George) Rupert. Robert resided in the Bloomsburg area his entire life.
He was employed as a Break Press Operator with G & B Specialties, Berwick for 28 years.
Robert was a lifetime Corvette enthusiast who enjoyed attending car shows. He was an avid Steelers fan, and he loved Betty Boop.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Peter Rupert, Jr.
Surviving is his wife, the former Diana K. Polk, with whom he celebrated 33 years of marriage on August 6, 2015; five children: Brian L. Robbins, Sr., wife Jennifer; Robert L. Rupert, Jr., wife Nicole, all of Danville; twins Jerry L. Rupert and Jennifer L. Swank, South Williamsport; Randy A. Robbins, wife Patricia, Rupert; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Hoffman, companion Bill Palmon, Shickshinny; two brothers: Richard âRickâ Rupert, wife Beth, Nescopeck and Dean Rupert, wife Becky, Mifflinville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Fr. Howell C. Sasser, of St. Paulâs Episcopal Church, Bloomsburg, officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Viewing at the funeral home on Monday from 1-2 p.m.
