Robert A. Shultz, age 79, 2488 Third Street, Bloomsburg (Espy) died at 7:08 a. m. Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the Bloomsburg Care & Rehabilitation Center where he was a patient since Feb. 26, 2019.
Born in Bloomsburg on March 1, 1940, he was a son of the late Ralph Shultz and the late Helen D. (Hill) McHenry.
He was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School and a lifelong resident of the Bloomsburg area.
Bob was employed as a shipping coordinator by Milco Industries, Inc. for many years until retiring. Earlier he was employed by the former Magee Carpet Co.
For more than 25 years he was a volunteer coach for the AYSO youth soccer program. He enjoyed watching westerns on television.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gail Norquest, in August, 2018; his step father, Kermit Z. McHenry and a brother Howard L. Shultz.
Bob is survived by his brother Bernard E. Shultz and his wife Janice of Benton and a number of nieces and nephews, including Jamie Ruckle, and his wife Kristen Maximiek, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Bryan Ruckle, II, and his wife Melissa, Bloomsburg; Marcus Ruckle, and his wife Lindsay, Bloomsburg; and Jackie, wife of Brian Watkins, Allentown.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg with the Rev. John D. Kolenda, pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10-11 a. m.
