Robert D. Wagner

Robert D. Wagner, age 80, 19 Janel Drive, Berwick, died at 3:55 p. m. Thursday, September 22, 2016 at The Gardens at Orangeville, a health care facility in Orangeville, where he was a patient for four months. He had been in failing health for several years.

Born in North Centre Township on November 25, 1935, he was a son of the late Milden C. and Ella I. (Force) Wagner. He resided in Berwick for 13 years and previously lived at Grovania for many years.

Bob was a lifelong farmer. He also was a truck driver for various business in the area, retiring in 2002.

He enjoyed butchering, helping neighbors on their farms, plowing snow and other neighborly activities.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, the former  Freda Snyder and fourteen children: Carol A. Wagner, with whom he resided in Berwick; Beverly, wife of Larry Troy, Bloomsburg; Wanda Jeremiah, Numidia; Robert Wagner, Bloomsburg; Audrey Wagner, Bloomsburg; Diane Wagner, Danville; Rita Wagner, Danville; Donna Billig, Mifflinville; Patricia, wife of Darwin Shaak, Lebanon; Cheryl, wife of Juan Torres, Catawissa; Celia, wife of Douglas Birrer, Nescopeck; Tammy, wife of Butch Mowery, Berwick; Howard Wagner, Bloomsburg; Joann Wagner, Bloomsburg; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five sisters: Dora Mae Eifert, Danville; Anna Johnson, Danville; Shirley Webber, Bloomsburg; Ruth Diehl, Bloomsburg; Mary, wife of Daniel Lacey, Catawissa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a  sister, Alice Poe.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Pastor J. Michael Delp, Commonwealth Hospice Chaplain officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-8 p. m.
