Robert G. Webb

Robert George Webb, age 85, of 134 E. 8th Street, Bloomsburg, died at 10:20 p. m. on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019 at The Gardens of Millville where he resided since June 12, 2019.

Born in Millersburg, Dauphin County,  on October 25, 1933, he was the only child of the late George Grant and Edna Jane (Runyan) Webb. He was a 1951 graduate of the former Sunbury High School and resided in Bloomsburg for 60 years.

Robert worked for the former Bell Telephone Co. of PA and retired from AT & T in 1990 after 34 years of service.

He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg.  He enjoyed sports and was a lifelong Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.

Robert served with the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife, the former  Arlene Mildred Cooper, with whom he celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on January 15, 2019; a daughter, Karen, wife of Bill Murrow, Delta; two sons: Kenneth Webb and Edward Webb, and his wife Harriet, all of Bloomsburg; and three grandsons: Grant Murrow, Bradlay Webb and Jeffrey Webb.

There will be no funeral services.  A private memorial will be held at the convenience of the family.
