Ronald R. LaRoche, age 61, 14 Mountain Road, Orangeville, died in an automobile crash on Mill Street, Benton, on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 3:45 p. m.
Born in Philadelphia on November 17, 1953, he was a son of the late Ellsworth and Anna E. (Pawling) LaRoche. He resided in Fishingcreek Township for the past 20 years and previously lived in Levittown. He was a 1971 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Levittown.
Ronald, who was also known as R.B.R., was employed as an operating engineer through Union Local 542, until becoming disabled. He was employed by both the Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre unions.
He enjoyed working on his 1968 Chevrolet Impala convertible and was restoring it.
Surviving are his wife, the former Benita D. Saul, with whom he celebrated 32 years of marriage on February 28, 2014; four daughters: Jennifer LaRoche, Doylestown; Cheryl LaRoche, Fairless Hills; Veronica LaRoche, New Jersey; Rachel T. LaRoche-Floyd and her fianceâ, Jason Levengood, Bloomsburg; eight grandchildren and a brother, David P. LaRoche, Philadelphia.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.
