Ronald B. Moore
Ronald B. Moore, age 73, 104 Buckhorn Road, Bloomsburg, was stricken at his home on Sunday, April 19, 2015 and pronounced dead in the emergency room of the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital at 8:40 a. m.
Born in Berwick on July 23, 1941, he was a son of the late Byron and Tacy E. (Crossley) Moore. A 1959 graduate of Bloomsburg High School, he resided in Buckhorn since 1964.
Ron was employed by PPL Electric Utilities for 30 years and was a line foreman when he retired in 1995.
He was a member of Washington Lodge 265, F & AM; Caldwell Consistory; and Bloomsburg Elks Lodge 436. Ron enjoyed hunting and was an avid wrestling fan.
Ron served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1964.
Surviving are his wife, the former Laura E. Barnes, with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage on Sept. 24, 2014; three sons: Shane B. Moore, and his wife Kelly, Buckhorn; Chad B. Moore, and his wife Lisa, Corning, N.Y.; Jace B. Moore, and his wife Gail, Buckhorn; six grandchildren: Pete; Ben; Cole; Livia; Ty; and Jett Moore; four siblings: Mary C., wife of R. Dean Hess, Stillwater; William A. Moore, and his wife Mary, Bloomsburg; Suzanne M., wife of Gary Haywood, Danville; Debbie Stedge, Elizabethville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Audrey M. Brosious, pastor of the Buckhorn United Methodist Church officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Viewing on Thursday from 6-8 p. m. at the funeral home and also on Friday from 10 a. m. until the time of the services. Masonic memorial services will be Thursday at 8 p. m. and Elks memorial services will follow at 8:15 p. m.
