Rose M. Zimmerman
Rose M. Zimmerman, age 78, 513 Bowman's Mill Road, Millville, died at 4:25 a. m. Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Orangeville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Orangeville, where she was a patient since January, 2014. She was in failing health for many years.
Born in Berwick on July 8, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Carl M. and Mary Jane (Brader) Bower. She attended the Berwick Schools and resided in Orange Township since 1966.
Rose was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operation of the family farm. Early in her life she was employed at the Berwick Ribbon factory and also at the former Consolidated Cigar Co. plant.
Rose loved and collected candles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Charles Bower.
Surviving are her husband, Donald R. Zimmerman, with whom she celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary on April 15, 2015; five children: Ronald M. Zimmerman, and his wife Darlene; Randall M. Zimmerman, and his wife Sheila; Kathy wife of Kenneth Bond, all of Millville; twins: Donald L. Zimmerman, and his wife Deborah and Donna L., wife of Benjamin Eckroth, all of Bloomsburg; seven grandchildren: Jeremy, Kevin, Kody, Jessica, Tyler, Lauren, Katie; two great grandchildren: Ava and Presley; and a brother, Cletus R. Bower, and his wife Arlene, Wapwallopen.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Charles V. Claybourn, pastor of the Kitchen's United Methodist Church officiating. Interment in Summer Hill Cemetery, near Berwick.
