Rosemary D. McCarthy
Rosemary D. McCarthy, age 84, 9 W. Park Street, (Carroll Park) Bloomsburg, died at her home at 6:10 a. m. Friday, December 5, 2014 after having been in failing health for six months.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 15, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Keller) Williams. She was a 1948 graduate of GAR High School, Wilkes- Barre and resided in Bloomsburg Since, August, 1959
Rosemary was last employed by the former Rea & Derrick Store in the Scott Town Plaza on Route 11, retiring in 1992
She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg.
Rosemary enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
Her husband, John J. McCarthy preceded her in death on September 4, 2011 after 57 years of marriage. She was also preceded her in death by three brothers: Edward Williams, Donald Williams and Paul Williams.
Surviving are two sons: John E. McCarthy, and his wife Sharon, Mountaintop; Kevin McCarthy, Odentown, Md.; a daughter, Maureen, wife of Francis W. Dwyer, Royersford; two grandsons: John Patrick McCarthy and Michael Preston McCarthy; and a sister, Marjorie Winton, Garden Grove, Calif. There are also several nieces and nephews surviving.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 2 p. m. in St. Columbia Catholic Church, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg, by Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence. Interment at the convenience of the family in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. Christian Wake Services at 6 p. m.
