Ruth Beverly (Diehl) Weidensaul, age 87, of Danville, died at 4:55 a. m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the Geisinger Hospice At Maria Hall, with her daughter Deb and granddaughter Michele by her side. She had previously been a patient at Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation since August, 2015.
Born in Mahoning Township, Montour County on Nov. 2, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Mildred (Long) Diehl. She spent most of her lifetime in Danville and was a 1951 graduate of Danville Area High School.
Ruth was employed by Danville State Hospital; as an aide; at the First Ward School and at the Montour County Cancer Society Office. She was last employed at Beiter's Store in Danville.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Danville.
Ruth will be remembered by everyone whose path she crossed for her incredible spunk and unsinkable will. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her favorite person of all time, her grandson Seth Warhurst on March 6, 2009; by two brothers: Harold Diehl and Harvey Diehl; and three sisters: Patsy Diehl, Lydia Kreisher and Mary Sabota.
Ruth is survived by two daughters: Mary Weidensaul, Gramby, Mass and Debra Warhurst, Slatington; a granddaughter Michele Warhurst, Philadelphia and her great-grandson, JJ, who beat all the odds to be able to meet her.
All services will be private with interment in Lower Towamensing Cemetery in Carbon County.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
