S. Louise (Reibsome) Gillaspy Craig, age 89, 401 E. Fourth Street, Bloomsburg, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her home on June 13, 2017
Born in Danville on October 12, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Walter N., Sr. and Mary (Law) Reibsome. She resided in Bloomsburg most of her life and graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1946.
Louise was a member of the First English Baptist Church. She loved dogs and recently lost her pal, "Maggie". She enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends and playing cards with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands: James H. Gillaspy and Joseph Craig; a brother, Walter N. "Corky: Reibsome, Jr. and a sister, Doris Miller.
Louise is survived by a daughter, Kay L. Scofero, Victor, New York; a son, James N. Gillaspy, Bloomsburg; four grandchildren: Sherri, wife of Steven Riesenberger, New York; Joey Scofero, New York; Kirby Gillaspy, and his wife CasSondra, Pittston; Tyler Gillaspy, Bloomsburg; seven great grandchildren; and three sisters: Peggy Shrawder, Bloomsburg; Joann Kelly, Bloomsburg; Janet, wife of William Pursel, Lewisburg; her close friend, Ray Hock, Sr., Bloomsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services will be held on Friday July 7, 2017 in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Dr. L. Lee Barnhardt, officiating. Interment will be in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
