Shannon J. (McAfee) Cokosky

Shannon J. (McAfee) Cokosky, age 53 of 608 Market Street, Berwick, died peacefully at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia early Friday, August 30, 2024.

Born in Berwick on May 16, 1971, she was the daughter of Eli and Lois (Harvey) McAfee of Berwick. A lifelong resident of Berwick, she was a 1989 graduate of Berwick High School.

Shannon was employed as a waitress and bartender most of her working years, last working as a bartender at the Berwick VFW for the past seven years.

She was a people person who will be remembered for her fingernails and long blond hair. She enjoyed walking when she was able, but her greatest joy in life was her six grandchildren who all adored her.

Shannon is survived by her parents of Berwick; her husband Stanley J. Cokosky with whom she observed their 33rd wedding anniversary on November 3, 2023; three daughters: Priscilla Cokosky, Alivia Cokosky and Gabrielle Cokosky, all of Berwick; six grandchildren: Jayden, Liam, Mia, Jaelynn, Bentlee Cokosky and Ellie Kelchner; a sister, Georgina Kulp and a brother Eli McAfee, Jr, both of Berwick; two nephews, Randy McAfee of Benton and Brandon Kulp of Berwick.

She is also survived by her husband’s parents, Paul A. and Judy A. Cokosky of Bloomsburg and a sister- in- law, Heather, wife of Patrick Peters of Bloomsburg.

Viewing will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 3-5 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
